Dear Homeowner,
This letter serves as an update regarding the siding project for our association and includes information regarding replacement of windows, doors, and garage doors.
The Board has had regular communication with the contractor regarding the start of the project. The delay we have experienced is due to supply chain issues, an issue currently experienced in many aspects of the construction business. The most recent information is Columbus Exteriors expects to begin the work on the garage door frames August 2nd, completing one building a day (we have 20 buildings) and expects to begin siding the first buildings in mid-August.
Both projects will start with building 1 and follow the map layout (see map). Columbus Exteriors will provide updated communication to homeowners informing them of the expected work timeline and other related information. They will notify homeowners in each building 2-3 days prior to starting the siding replacement on that building, allowing the homeowner an opportunity to prepare by following suggestions in the first notice.

Guidelines for Replacement of Doors, Windows & Garage Doors
The Board encourages Homeowners who have planned to replace windows, doors or garage doors to consider doing so in coordination with the siding project. The timing is right for installation of new materials as the homeowner can select items that will coordinate with the Associations new look. An Architectural Request Approval form (ARC) must be completed and submitted to the Board for approval PRIOR to the installation of new doors, windows or garage doors. Front Door: The style and color of the front door is the choice of the homeowner.
Storm Door: May be half view, three quarter view, or full view. The exterior door and trim must be white.
Sliding Doors: Must be the same size and style of the existing doors. The exterior door and trim must be white.
Windows: Must be the same size and style of the existing windows. The exterior window and trim must be white.
Garage Doors: All new garage doors installed must be white. The style – raised panel or flat – is the discretion of the homeowner. The Board suggests the homeowner consider coordinating style with neighbors on the shared driveway.
All existing exterior doors, storm doors, windows and garage doors will be painted white to coordinate with the new trim on the buildings. Front doors will not be painted.
The Board is excited about the updated look our buildings will have following completion of the siding project. We believe that the replacement of the siding and the refreshed look of our Association will benefit all homeowners and residents.
