SIDING PROJECT Q&A<\/h1>\n

When will the project start?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The materials have been ordered and the project is anticipated to begin in August.<\/p>\n

How long will the project last?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

It will take 2-3 weeks to complete each building and buildings will be worked on in groups of 2-3.
\nSpecific details and timelines will be made available soon and will be provided to all homeowners on this site.<\/p>\n

Can I keep my current lights?<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Board is planning to include replacement of all exterior lights as part of the project. Once the board selects the new lights we will share with all homeowners so they can decide whether or not they would like to keep their existing lights.\u00a0If a homeowner wishes to maintain the exterior lighting they currently have, they should submit an\u00a0Architectural Approval form<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0July 1, 2021<\/strong>.\u00a0Please include pictures of each light you would like to keep.<\/em><\/p>\n

I want to install new windows and\/or doors, what do I need to know?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The Board encourages Homeowners who have planned to replace windows, doors or garage doors to consider doing so in coordination with the siding project.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The timing is right for installation of new materials as the homeowner can select items that will coordinate with the Associations new look.\u00a0 An\u00a0Architectural Request Approval form<\/a>\u00a0(ARC) must be completed and submitted to the Board for approval PRIOR to the installation of new doors, windows or garage doors.\u00a0 The form can be found on the Association website:\u00a0ForestOaksMN.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Guidelines for Replacement of Doors, Windows & Garage Doors<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Front Door:<\/strong>\u00a0The style and color of the front door is the choice of the homeowner.<\/p>\n

Storm Door:<\/strong>\u00a0May be half view, three quarter view, or full view. The exterior door and trim must be white.<\/p>\n

Sliding Doors:<\/strong>\u00a0Must be the same size and style of the existing doors. The exterior door and trim must be white.<\/p>\n

Windows:<\/strong>\u00a0Must be the same size and style of the existing windows.\u00a0 The exterior window and trim must be white.<\/p>\n

Garage Doors:<\/strong>\u00a0 All new garage doors installed must be white.\u00a0 The style \u2013 raised panel or flat \u2013 is the discretion of the homeowner.\u00a0 The Board suggests the homeowner consider coordinating style with neighbors on the shared driveway.<\/p>\n

All existing exterior doors, storm doors, windows and garage doors will be painted white to coordinate with the new trim on the buildings. Front doors will not be painted.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
