{"id":1247,"date":"2021-11-18T13:13:14","date_gmt":"2021-11-18T19:13:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.forestoaksmn.com\/homeowner\/?p=1247"},"modified":"2021-12-06T13:14:08","modified_gmt":"2021-12-06T19:14:08","slug":"snow-service-reminders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.forestoaksmn.com\/homeowner\/snow-service-reminders\/","title":{"rendered":"Snow Service Reminders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With winter fast approaching, the association would like to remind all members of the services provided by the association for snow removal at the site.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Winter Parking<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nWe ask that all members make sure that all vehicles are removed from the driveways when snow service is being performed by the association. If a vehicle is parked on a driveway, the contractor will not service any portion of the driveway. It will then be the responsibility of the owner to clear the driveway.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>I. Open up<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nSnow fall events with a prediction of 5\u201d of new accumulation or more, an initial two blade pass and guest areas will be cleared prior to 6:00am or 5:00pm.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>II. Plowing<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nFor any new snowfall accumulation on the ground exceeding 1.5 to 8 inches on the drives, streets, and parking areas, we will commence snow operations within 12 hours after snowfall cessation. 8 to 12<br \/>\ninches, 18 hours after cessation. 12 or more inches 36 hours after cessation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>III. Shoveling Walkways &amp; Mailboxes<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nCompleted within 12 hours after cessation of snow fall exceeding 1.5\u201d, 18hrs after 8\u201d+, and 36hrs after 12\u201d+. During blizzard conditions or any time winds exceed 15 M.P.H. and\/or temperatures are below 0 degrees F and\/or the wind chill is below 0 degrees F, shoveling operations may be suspended at the discretion of the contractor until conditions improve.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>IV. Drift and Clean-up<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n1.5\u201d inches of snowfall triggers snow removal service. Drifting and special clean-up that needs to be done outside of the 1.5\u201d snowfall trigger needs to be requested and approved by the board.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>V. Slush Plowing<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nSlush will be plowed when conditions exceed two inches during periods of melting snow or ice.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>VI. Homeowner Responsibilities<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n1. Snow removal for less than 1.5&#8243; of snowfall.<br \/>\n2. Snow removal from driveways and guest parking containing parked vehicle<br \/>\n3. Snow removal from patios and decks.<br \/>\n4. Ice accumulation on drives, steps, walkways and garage aprons caused by drainage.<br \/>\n5. The use of de-icing materials as is necessary.<br \/>\n6. Snow removal underneath and around parked cars.<br \/>\n7. Snow removal from walkways and\/or drive areas caused by clearing patios or roofs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>VII. Snow Accumulation<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nSnow depth accumulation will be measured at the Association property on the asphalt to be plowed in areas neither drifted over nor blown clean. Because of melting, measurements will not be taken on lawn<br \/>\nareas, etc.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>VIII. Damage to Property<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nAlthough every effort will be taken to eliminate property damage, accidents occasionally occur. It is the homeowners&#8217; responsibility to notify the Association Representative within 48 hours of any damage<br \/>\ncaused by the Contractor. If you have any questions on the service provided, please channel your questions through your Association Maintenance Representative \u2013 David Schultz (952) 922-2500 x220<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>IX. Parking<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nUse good judgment when parking cars. Please do not park in areas where snow must be pushed, and observe your Association&#8217;s parking regulations. Vehicles interfering with the ability of the contractor to<br \/>\nremove snow may be towed without further notice at the sole expense of the vehicle owner.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>X. General<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nDuring blizzard conditions or if the State of Minnesota D.O.T. suspends road crews, plowing may be suspended at the discretion of the Contractor. If this occurs, deadlines will be extended until conditions<br \/>\nimproveIn the event of snowfalls over 12\u201d with gusting winds above 30 MPH deadlines are void.
