Re: Siding Update, Alteration Requests, Chimney Cleaning, Open Flames Near Buildings

Siding Update – The siding is currently in the design stage and is scheduled to start in the spring.
Alteration Requests – All doors, window, garage doors, gutters, landscaping, or any other exterior alterations need to be approved by the Architectural Request Committee before any work is started. All requests must be submitted with an Architectural Request Approval Form.
Door & Window Upgrades – To homeowners wishing to purchase new windows and/or doors (including garage doors), this is a great time to do it! The board suggests you wait to select the color of your windows/doors until the design stage is complete and your building’s colors are selected.
We will communicate to homeowners as their building’s colors are selected and will be providing window options from our siding contractor for homeowners to purchase.
Chimney Cleaning – The Board of Directors would like to remind homeowners to perform an annual chimney as well as dryer vent cleaning to lower the risk of accidental fire. A recommended contractor is KMS Air Duct Cleaning 612-627-9038 or kmsclean.com
Open Flames Near Buildings – Please be very careful with any open flames on the property. Recreational fires are allowed with several conditions. Fires can only be 3ft in diameter, are allowed from 8 a.m. to midnight for no longer than 6 hours and must be 25 feet from any structure. Open flame grills are not allowed on or under the decks or within 10 feet of the building. This is even more important to remember with the installation of the new vinyl siding in the spring, as any heat could damage the siding.
